To get the most out of your patio containers, use the "lasagne" method. Plant a bottom layer of Tulips or Daffodils deep in the pot, cover with soil, and then plant a layer of these Mixed Crocuses on top. The crocuses will bloom first, covering the bare soil with a riot of colour in February and March. As they fade, the larger bulbs will push through, hiding the dying crocus foliage and extending the flowering season of the pot by months.
