Muscari armeniacum, commonly known as Grape Hyacinth, is a much-loved spring bulb admired for its clusters of rich blue, bead-like flowers that resemble tiny bunches of grapes. Gardener’s Tip

Plant bulbs between September and December, around 8 cm deep in well-drained soil in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Muscari thrives in most soil types and is perfect for naturalising in lawns, borders, and under trees.

For the best effect, plant in large groups or drifts to create a bold carpet of blue. Wear gloves when handling bulbs, as they may cause skin irritation and can be harmful if ingested.
