Flowers Seed Foxglove Digitale Multicolor
Franchi - Flowers Seed Foxglove Digitale Multicolor
Foxglove Digitalis Multicolor Seeds (Digitalis purpurea): The Regal Spires of the Cottage Garden
Foxglove is an iconic, dramatic plant, essential for adding vertical structure and woodland charm to any border. This Multicolor mix produces towering spires (or racemes) covered in large, tubular, bell-shaped flowers that feature characteristic internal spotting. The colours range beautifully, typically including shades of pink, rose, purple, cream, and white. As a biennial, it establishes foliage in the first year and flowers majestically in the second. Foxgloves are hugely popular with bumblebees, who crawl right inside the flowers for nectar, and they make a breathtaking, tall cut flower.

Gardener's Tip for a Guaranteed Annual Display
Because Foxgloves are biennials (meaning they only flower in their second year and then die), the secret to having blooms every summer is succession sowing. Sow your first batch of seeds directly into the garden in May/June this year. Next year, those plants will flower. In the following year, sow a second batch of seeds. By doing this every year, you will always have two sets of plants growing: the first set establishing foliage (Year 1), and the second set flowering majestically (Year 2), guaranteeing a continuous display.
