The Golden Rule of Harvest! Courgettes must be harvested frequently—ideally when the fruits are $15\text{–}20\text{cm}$ long (6–8 inches). Allowing fruits to swell into marrows stops the plant from producing new flowers and dramatically reduces your overall crop yield. Once fruiting begins, check the plants daily and feed every 14 days with a high-potash (tomato) fertiliser to support the continuous production of fruit and flowers.
