Overview
Daffodil 'Mount Hood': The Iconic Giant of the Spring Landscape
Experience the elegance of one of the world’s most beloved trumpet daffodils, now featuring the superior quality of being Irish Grown. Daffodil 'Mount Hood' is a masterpiece of colour transformation; the large, bold trumpets open in a creamy primrose yellow and gradually mature into a pure, snowy white. This colour-changing habit creates a wonderful sense of movement and evolution in the garden. These bulbs produce exceptionally sturdy stems and thick, wax-like petals that stand up beautifully to the unpredictable Irish spring weather. Because they are locally grown, they are perfectly acclimated to our soil and climate, ensuring vigorous growth and a reliable, breathtaking display year after year.

Gardener's Tip
To make the most of the pure white finish of 'Mount Hood', plant them against a dark evergreen backdrop like a laurel or yew hedge. They also look spectacular when drifting through woodland areas, as the white blooms seem to "glow" in the dappled shade. Because these are strong-stemmed, they make excellent cut flowers—just be sure to soak them in a separate vase of water for a few hours before mixing with other flowers to neutralise their sap.
