Gardener's Tip for Best Harvest
Master the Pinching Technique! To prevent your basil from producing flowers (which makes the leaves bitter) and to encourage a bushy, prolonged harvest, pinch off the central stem just above a pair of leaves once the plant has grown three or four sets of true leaves. Continue to pinch back any developing flower buds throughout the season.
