Gardener’s Tip
Plant bulbs in spring, around 15 cm deep in well-drained, fertile soil in a sunny or lightly shaded position. Asiatic lilies are easy to grow and perform best when planted in groups for a fuller display.
Keep roots cool by adding mulch or planting alongside low-growing plants. Wear gloves when handling bulbs, and take care as lilies are toxic to cats if ingested. After flowering, allow foliage to die back naturally so bulbs can store energy for strong blooms the following year.
