Giant Snowdrop ‘Polar Bear’ is a striking early-flowering variety admired for its large, pure white blooms and strong, upright stems. Larger than traditional snowdrops, the elegant nodding flowers bring a bold yet graceful presence to the late winter garden, creating a fresh, clean display when little else is in bloom.

Flowering from January to February and reaching around 20–25 cm in height, this variety is ideal for naturalising in borders, under trees, or in woodland settings. Over time, ‘Polar Bear’ forms beautiful drifts of white flowers, returning year after year with minimal effort.

Gardener’s Tip

For the best effect, plant in clusters or drifts and allow them to naturalise naturally. Wear gloves when handling bulbs, as they may cause skin irritation and can be harmful if ingested. Once established, these bulbs require very little maintenance and will return stronger each year.
